Hi. I will like to ask you a question. I have an CRT made by LG from 2005. It has component, composite and S-video connections. Problem is the image goes green when Im using the component or composite cables and the sound becomes distorted. I have to adjust the cables on the back of the TV by moving the RCA jacks up or down while the cables are connected in order for the image and sound to go back to normal. Once the image is back to normal it plays fine, but it will randomly get the same issue again… Doesnt matter if Im watching a DVD movie or playing on my retro gaming consoles. I contacted LG and they told me that the TV is too old to fix. I live in South Korea and is hard to find someone to fix this TV. I just need to know what exactly is wrong with it, if it requires soldering then maybe I can do it. I want to attach some pics and a short video of the issue…but this message area of the email wont let me..On the pictures you can see the green screen and also the inside of the TV and the RCA jacks. When I move the RCA jacks on the back of the TV the image and sound is corrected, basically Im adjusting them until the image goes back to normal. I need your help so I can figure out how to fix this please.
Sincerely Chris
p.s I try many different cables component and composite to see if the cables were faulty, but I was having the same issues so is not the cables at all.
LG service center is quite correct as your TV component is getting over its life limit one-by-one
and it is futile to fix one as the other will error any-time now after 14 years
