Chinese Lunar New Years for 2019 is actually February 5 Tuesday but the government needs to give citizens ample time to go back to their home in the country and vice-versa, so Official Holiday is 3 Days from February 4 Monday to 6 Wednesday but as it is right after the Weekend : this is a Golden Weekend of FIVE Days from February 1 Saturday ! BUT as it is over a whopping TEN years since brick-and-mortar stores gave way to WebStores (dubbed On-Line Shopping Mall here over South Korea) (and although the whole district seems very busy with deliverers carrying stuff all-over the area – because actual stores and offices of ) these On-Line stores ARE in YongSan) these Off-Line stores try to open much during holidays when people take the time to venture out here .

*Note most On-Line Stores halt ship-out during the full-course of this 5-day holiday WeekEnd .

  • JeonJa Land (Electronics Land) was the pinnacle of the whole YongSan Electronics District during its heyday, but barely anyone goes there in age of On-Line Shopping, and if you do chances are they will charge you more – where the more-fun and market-like brethren below would cut prices to try to match On-Line . but they don’t close no-matter what holiday, open daily 10am to 7:30pm and even until 8pm on Weekends . still may be for you if you have to look-around in a neat department-store atmosphere . but there is going-around delivery as shipping is out-sourced, so halted from January 29 Tuesday all-the-way until February 6th Wednesday .
  • Seon-in SangGa is where most (nerd) consumers go to shop so
OPEN February 2 Saturday and only closes 3 Sunday and fully-open the full-course of Chinese Lunar New Years of 4 Monday, 5 Tuesday AND 6 Wednesday yippee~ (meaning : whole-sale office around this building has to be open also, to deliver to them)
  • Najin SangGa 19 and 20 Dong (buildings) has mostly whole-sale and offices so
CLOSED  THREE Days :February 4 Wednesday ~ 6 Sunday

– for first-time visitors into SEOUL, please refer to the MAP at YongSang Electronics Market Page on Top-Menu –

much-sorry if you were looking for more on this Post, but times has come to such that : YongSan has changed from electronics shopping mecca, to where most electronics On-Line Mall ship-out offices are located . so if you are a passing traveler, I suggest you check one of super-mart chains like HomePlus, eMart and Lotte Mart, HiMart acquired by Lotte and either SamSung and LG Electronics ShowRooms .
